Signature Capture & Proof of Delivery Courier Service
Proof of delivery consists of providing proof to your customers that a particular event (delivery to consignee) occurred. Dynamex knows that you have varying requirements to constitute a proof of delivery. In some cases, providing names and times is proof enough. However, as markets change and governmental restrictions increase, it is becoming more common to need an actual signature. Today, most signatures are captured on paper and stored in case they are needed at a later time. The labor and time involved in pulling these documents is substantial, causing you delays, frustration, and increased costs. That's why Dynamex provides Signature Capture technology for faster, more efficient processes.
Mobile Devices & Signature Confirmation
Dynamex manages the signature capture task by using common Nextel or Telus devices (e.g., Motorola® and Blackberry®) that have a low cost and easy procurement. These devices connect via a Bluetooth® connection to Honeywell™ hand-held imagers allowing couriers to scan packages and capture signatures for proof of delivery. They also come with GPS technology for real-time tracking of assets. Mobile PC devices, with a built-in scanner/imager and integrated GPS, are also available. This technology provides you with an all-in-one mobile PC operating system that has a larger storage capacity, full keyboard, touch screen, and on-screen signature capture.
Dynamex's Signature Capture process and benefits are listed below:
Process:
- Consignee signs delivery manifest
- Driver scans signature on manifest (with the same scanner used to scan barcodes)
- Driver reviews signature on mobile device
- Driver sends signature to the host
- Signature is available for viewing through dxNow
- Signature file is transferred to customer's system (if required)
